Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (August 12, 2005) – Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Central and Northern Florida will be able to make wishes come true for approximately 50 children with life-threatening medical conditions as the result of a $250,000 donation from Disney.  Make-A-Wish Foundation and Disney celebrated the contribution today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom by blowing out candles on a cake celebrating the 25^th anniversary of Make-A-Wish and 50 years of Disney Theme Park magic.

During a recent fundraising event held aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Magic, Disney raised $1 million dollars and then donated a surprise, additional $1 million to Make-A-Wish.  The funds given to Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida are part of Disney’s corporate donation.
